Yless4u has invested substantially in Telecommunications Infrastructure in the region shown below. Some 30+ Base sites provide high speed wireless coverage to the region’s population.
In contrast, the NBN (National Broadband Network) proposes minimal fibre and wireless coverage in the areas surrounding the ACT.
The legend on the NBN maps for NSW state that ” wireless modelling does not take into account terrain modelling and clutter, and may may not result in contiguous coverage of all locations within the indicated wireless footprint. These maps also assume that satellite services will be provided to remaining premises.”
From our experience in this terrain and with wireless technology, it is our considered view that such ‘blanket’ coverage is extremely optimistic and misleading. Unless some serious modelling is done and demonstrated to communities in these areas – there will be no fair picture of just how many customers will not have access to wireless but will be relegated to satellite technology – which by comaprison with wireless has not the same capability!
